The Skdētī Principality is an unrecognised country in the north of Zemia.
The Skdētī Principality is an unrecognised country in the north of Zemia. The ancient city of Skdētī is united under the banner of the monstrous races, which were able to create a soft border with the far less intelligent but far more powerful beasts of the puestyn-desert. The rest of Zemia sees them as no different from these desert monsters and thus refuse to engage in diplomacy with them.
Government
The Principality is largely self-organised, with the government having very little direct control over the populace.
History
The state grew out of a union of various clans, forming a council of 8 elders.
When a previous council member amassed enough political clout he declared himself the Prince of Skdētī, which made him the sole head of state and transformed the country into a monarchy.
To prevent unrest from the council, he gave up his seat and created a constitution which included a stipulation that no prince would ever be eligible for election to the council.
