Named after the Plaksen Forest around which it is centered, this country is a major power in Zemia.

The Plaxen Cyclic Kingdom, named after the plaksen-forest around which it is centered, is a major power in Zemia.

Formed by the five houses of the five-banners, it has a cyclic monarchy which works as follows:

The head of each family is a Prince/Princess, and this title is passed down by ultimogeniture within their house.

At any given time, one of the houses is considered the 'leading' house, and takes the title of King/Queen instead.

Upon the death of the monarch, the current prince of the next house in order becomes the new monarch (and the next in line by ultimogeniture from the old house becomes a prince).

Government

Plaxen is ruled in a type of constitutional monarchy known as a cyclic monarchy. In this system, the Five Royal Houses of Plaxen cycle through which one holds the throne.

History

The Kingdom of Plaxen was established in the midst of the rebellion-of-the-five-banners.
